EnviroWatts Program

As a part of our long-standing support for the environment, Henry County REMC is now offering our members an earth-friendly energy option called EnviroWatts. EnviroWatts is energy produced from renewable resources in environmentally friendly methods, otherwise known as "green power".

Many renewable energy technologies come from biomass, sun, wind, water and geothermal springs. This program supports the use of green power and promotes the development of new renewable energy sources.

You can make a difference!
Members can support green power by purchasing EnviroWatts in 100-kilowatt-hour (kWh) blocks for 90 cents each. You may purchase as many 100-kWh blocks as you like. The contract is for one year, and you may cancel anytime after 12 months.

Currently, Hoosier Energy - Henry County REMC's power supplier, generates renewable energy from the Clark-Floyd landfill gas-to electricity facility.

Enrolling is Easy!
Join others in caring for our resources and using them wisely. Together we can make a difference and protect our environment.
