2015 Cooperative Calendar Art Contest
Co-op Calendar Art Contest
Sponsored by Indiana electric cooperatives and the Electric Consumer
The deadline has passed to submit artwork for the 2015 Co-op Calendar Art Contest. We would like to thank all those who participated. Please check back later this year for a gallery featuring past calendar winners from grades K-12.
Information regarding the 2016 Co-op Calendar Art Contest will be made available to the public in Dec. 2014. Indiana students are encouraged to “be part of a gallery of art” by submitting entries.
ABOUT THE CONTEST:
The electric cooperatives’ student art contest is unusual because the winning works are published in a wall calendar. Along with bringing student artists statewide recognition, the printed calendar serves as a wonderful souvenir. In addition, cash prizes are awarded to 13 first place winners, grades K-12, and nine honorable mention winners.
The current contest is now underway and open to all Indiana students. Winning works will be published in the calendar. For the contest, each grade is assigned a specific month to depict: first graders have January; second graders have February; third graders do March; and so on. High school seniors finish the calendar by depicting December. Kindergartners are assigned the cover art which can depict any season, subject or event. Students compete only with students in the same grade division.
