HCREMC works hard to keep outages to a minimum, but there are times that Mother Nature can take a turn for the worse. Thunderstorms, high winds, flash floods, ice storms and other natural catastrophes can knock out electrical service and cause damage. No matter how severe the storm, you can be sure that HCREMC will not leave you in the dark during these times.
Our employees work hard to ensure your power is restored in a timely manner and we are committed to providing you up-to-date information during outage situations. We offer our members a live outage map that includes details on where our outages are located, how many members are without power and if crews have been dispatches to a particular outage.
It's important for you to know the correct procedures for reporting an outage if one should occur.
If your service is interrupted:
- First check your fuses or breakers to make sure the problem is not your own.
- Check to see if your neighbors have service.
- Have your meter or account number ready before reporting an outage.
To call and report an outage:
