We have listed below the most frequently asked questions in our office.

 

  • Does it cost to join the REMC? Yes, all new applicants are required to pay a $25.00 refundable membership. If a person moves off of the REMC system the $25.00 membership is refunded by being applied to their last electric bill.

 

  • How much will it cost to have a new service installed? The cost is determined on a case by case basis. Please call for an appointment and an REMC employee will meet with you at the proposed service location. He/She will give you new service information, cost details and other potential information.

 

  • Can I pay my electric bill by credit card? Yes, we do accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. 

 

  • Can I have my bill automatically deducted from my checking or savings account? Yes, we offer a free bank draft service. A short form with your account information must be filled out to request this service.

 

  • Do you offer budget billing? Yes, we offer a budget billing plan if you have been on our system for one year. If interested please sign up by the month of May, budget billing starts in June.

 

  • What are the REMC office hours? Our office is open 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday thru Friday. If an emergency arises our phones are answered 24 hours a day!
