RATE SL

STREET OR SECURITY LIGHTING RATE

AVAILABILITY

Available to any member of the REMC for continuous year round service of outdoor lighting where 120 volt service exists ahead of the meter loop.

Existing facilities will continue to use installed type of fixture. New installations will be the consumer’s option with final approval by the REMC.

CHARACTER OF SERVICE

A dusk to dawn outdoor lighting service using lamps and equipment available under this rate. This includes photoelectric control equipment, lighting fixtures, mast arm, and where needed, one span of secondary conductor.

MONTHLY RATE

Security Lights:

175 watt mercury vapor.	$6.50 per light per month
100 watt high pressure sodium	$6.50 per light per month
400 watt MH, SV	$11.50 per light per month
1000 watt MH, SV	$26.00 per light per month

Street Lights:

Street lights will be per individual contract.

EXTRA CHARGES

For members requesting lighting at locations other than locations where the REMC has available facilities, the member shall pay the installation, labor and material charges for pole and line.

When a transformer is required or the member requesting lighting service does not have an active account at same location, a charge of $ 9.50 shall be added to the monthly security light charge.

If the member requests the location of the security light be changed, there will be a charge of Seventy-five Dollars ($75.00) for a relocation fee.

BILLING

The security light charge will be billed separately on the member’s regular bill and shall be paid at the same time and on the same terms as the member’s bill.

MAINTENANCE AND OWNERSHIP

The REMC shall install, own and maintain security light installed under this agreement. Maintenance of security lights shall be routinely scheduled during normal working hours at the REMC’s convenience.

TERMINATION OF SERVICE

If the security light is requested to be disconnected prior to being billed 12 consecutive months a disconnect fee will be charges. This fee will be the months the light is not billed, up to 12 times the monthly security light charge.

The member may request termination of service at his option and the REMC will remove its property upon such notice with reasonable diligence. The REMC may remove its ficture and cancel security lighting service when such action is necessary to protect the REMC from fraud or abuse.
